IMA Zanasi 40F Encapsulator w/vacuum pump & tooling set(size TBD)
Description
Used IMA Zanasi 40F Encapsulator w/vacuum pump & tooling set(size TBD)
Max Production Capacity 40,000 capsules per hour (processes 6 capsules per intermittent cycle)
Machine Kinematics. Intermittent motion rotary indexing turret (8 active stations)
Dosing System Type. Volumetric Dosator (patented tube-and-piston compression system)
Capsule Size Compatibility Hard gelatin, HPMC, and standard variations from Size 000 down to Size 5
Dosing Profiles Formulated for powders and granules; can handle pellets or mini-tablets with optional change parts
The 8-Station Working Cycle
The mechanical architecture utilizes a heavy-duty rotary indexer that cycles through eight dedicated positions to manage the capsule lifecycle:
- Capsule Infeed & Orientation: Rectifiers feed and align empty capsules vertically into the upper bushings.
- Vacuum Separation: High-vacuum suction pulls the capsule bodies down into the lower segments while the caps stay fixed in the upper block.
- Product Dosing: The dosator nozzles descend into the product bowl, internal pistons compress the powder into a uniform "slug," the assembly lifts, indexes over the open capsule bodies, and the pistons eject the slug.
- Rejection (Optional Station): Automatically detects and drops out unseparated or crushed capsule shells before they move down the line.
- Capsule Closing: Lower bushings realign perfectly with the upper cap segments, and closing pushers lift from the bottom to lock the capsule shells.
- Discharge: Completed capsules are mechanically pushed out of the segments into the discharge chute leading to the polisher.
- & 8. Bushing Cleaning: High-pressure air jets and continuous vacuum aspiration clear away leftover dust film from both the upper and lower segments to keep weights stable for the next cycle.
Utility & Facility Connection Requirements
- Electrical Profile: Standard 230V / 400V | 3-Phase | 50/60 Hz. Main power consumption tracks around 6.0 kW to 7.5 kWdepending on the specific model variation of the integrated vacuum pump.
- Compressed Air: Demands a minimum baseline line pressure of 6 bar (approx. 87 psi). The air must be dry, de-oiled, and filtered, pulling an average consumption rate of 100 liters per minute.
